Enduring powers of attorney (EPA) are known as "living documents" because they can only take effect during your lifetime.
EPA allow someone you trust to make decisions on your behalf in the event that you can no longer continue to manage your affairs.
There are two types of enduring powers of attorney - property and personal care and welfare.
Your property attorney can be responsible for things like:
* paying bills
* investment decisions
* buying and selling assets
* operating bank accounts
* any other financial decisions.
Your personal care and welfare attorney can be responsible for:
* your health and personal matters
* where you are going to live
* medical treatment
